Maritime Museum is located in Down Town San Diego. It is opened daily from 9AM to 8 PM. Among the impressive collections of Museum includes, the old and active ship, Star of India. This ‘ Star of India’ was associated with an academy award winning film, ‘ Master and the Commander’. Other fleet of ships involved with the film are, the 1898 Steam Ferry Berkeley, the 1904 Steam Yatch Medea and B-39 Russian submarine pertaining to the Soviet era. Inside the ship there are interesting display of maritime history, exploration and various wars pertaining to different wars. Inside the ship, there is also a children’s playing area by which each children can interact with others ill at ease.
The entry ticket purchased to go inside the museum remains valid up to January 2008. Bookings are done through credit cards with proper verification of the addresses given to the credit companies. The tickets booked up to 2008 are always non-refundable.
The Museum is an educative place for the naval technicians so that they face any eventualities with grim and determination. He price of the tickets never remain constant. It varies from time to time.
